June 20, 2012 will be a big day for Data Management. Two organizations, IDMA and DAMA will be co-hosing an event starting at 9 a.m. in the Allstate West Auditorium, 3100 Sanders Road, Northbrook, Illinois.

The morning speaker will be Tracy Spadola from Teradata who will be speaking about “Managing Data Effectively”. Tracy will provide some examples on how these concepts are successfully applied within the insurance industry.

Our afternoon speaker will be Susan Earley speaking about the second edition of the DMBOK (Data Management Body of Knowledge) and how you can contribute your expertise to enhancing the latest edition. A revised framework document is available for commentary and the result will be used to structure the DAMA DMBOK2. The first edition was written by over 120 data management practitioners, and is the most impressive compilation of data management principles and best practices ever assembled.
